    KEENE, N.H. 8/1/11 – Serving as the strength and conditioning coach at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., Mike Kamal takes a lot of pride working with the Warriors to reach their athletic goals. Kamal, a 2003 Keene State College grad, is also taking a good deal of satisfaction helping a student from his alma mater this summer, teaching the tricks of the strength and conditioning trade to Maura Bergan, a senior exercise science major from Manchester, Conn.

    KEENE, N.H. 5/15/11 – It’s not how they wanted to win the title, but Keene State College is the 2011 ECAC New England Division III softball champs. The Owls were awarded the crown after the championship game was cancelled due to rain at Owl Athletic Complex on Sunday. It’s the third year in a row KSC has won the regional championship.

The Huskies took game one of the doubleheader by the score of 6-3.

Junior Emily Albin (Bethel, Conn.) scattered five hits in a 5-0 shutout win in the first game and sophomore Nicole Dupuis (Fitchburg, Mass.) knocked in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Owls a 4-3 victory in the second game.
