N. Dartmouth, Mass 5/9/11 – Keene State College track and field athletes Bryan Kolacz and Andrea Walsh were tabbed as players of the week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.), Senior, Keene State College
Competing at the 2011 Division III New England Championships, Kolacz broke the school record in the discus throw and won the hammer. The senior from Brentwood, N.H. boasted a toss of 155'-6'' in the discus to break his previous school record and place fourth. He also came back to win the hammer throw with a toss of 191'-9''. Keene State placed 15th in the team standings with 15 points.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.), Junior, Keene State College
Competing at the New England Division III championships, Walsh placed fourth in the 10,000-meter race  with a time of 36 minutes, 59.10 seconds. The mark was both a personal best and an NCAA provisional qualifier.

The track team heads to All New England Championships this Friday and Saturday at Southern Conn. State.
