Coffin, Levine, Titus Earn LEC Weekly Honors

N. Dartmouth, Mass. 10/18/10 – The Little East Conference office honored three KSC student-athletes with weekly awards Monday afternoon. 

Field Hockey

Offensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Coffin (Sugar Hill, N.H,), Junior, Forward, Keene State College
Coffin netted five goals against Worcester State to match a Keene State single-game scoring record on Saturday. The Sugar Hill, N.H. product registered a hat trick in the first 23 minutes of regulation before adding two insurance markers in the second stanza to account for five of the Owls’ six markers.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jamie Levine (Medfield, Mass.), Senior, Libero, Keene State College
Levine averaged 19.25 digs per match to lead Keene State to a 4-0 week.  The Medfield, Mass. product set a program record with 39 digs as the Owls came back from a two game deficit to defeat Western Connecticut, 3-2.  The senior had 14 digs in a 3-0 win over Babson, 13 digs in a 3-1 win over Smith, and 11 digs in a 3-0 win against Mount Holyoke.

Women’s Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Sarah Titus (Derry, N.H.), Junior, Keene State College
Titus was Keene State’s top finisher at the Williams College Plansky Invitational on Saturday.  The junior placed 11th overall, covering the 6-kilometer course in a time of 25 minutes, 48 seconds.  The Owls placed third in the team scoring with 78 points.
