Rita Marcotte, Senior, Women's Cross Country

Returning to form after battling the bug, Marcotte stepped up with an eighth  place performance to lead the Owls to a strong second place finish at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday.  With front-runners Paige Mills out and Allison Chamberlain unable to complete the course, Marcotte, a senior from Heath, Mass., posted a time of 19:22. The KSC women, ranked 26th nationally and fifth in New England, tallied 85 points. Amherst won the race with 25 points. Marcotte was also named LEC Women's Runner of the Week.
