O'Bryant, Girard and Davis Earn All-LEC Honors

N. DARTMOUTH, Mass. 11/9/10 – The Keene State College junior class of Bridget O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.), Kristen Girard (Tivoli, N.Y.) and Ellyse Davis (Londonderry, N.H.) earned All-Little East Conference Honors as voted on by the league's coaches.

"I am really proud of them," said KSC head coach Bob Weiner. "They each bring something different to the table for us and I am glad that the conference coaches recognized them for their efforts this year."

O'Bryant, who was the lone Owl named to 1st Team All-LEC, finished the regular season with 360 kills, a 3.64 kill/set average, and a team-high .302 hitting percentage. The junior captain also notched a team high 92 kills and a .302 hitting percentage in LEC play. In the LEC semifinal win over Plymouth State, O'Bryant broke the school-record with 26 kills on the match in the Owls 3-2 victory.

Girard and Davis were both named to All-LEC 2nd Team. Girard led the Owls in kills (409), attack attempts (1068) and was second on the team in digs (417) in the regular season. Davis totaled 259 kills and 105 total block for KSC.

The Owls, who finished 24-12 in the regular season, are the number two seed in the ECAC Tournament and will host Worcester State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
