Owls drop non-conferencd matches to Coast Guard and Brandeis
WALTHAM, Mass. 10/10/09 - The Keene State College women's volleyball team dropped non-conference matches to Coast Guard 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-18) and Brandeis (25-17, 25-21, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon at Brandeis University.
Brandeis came into this weekend ranked eighth in the region, while the Coast Guard is ranked seventh.
In the loss to Coast Guard, the Owls were paced by Ellyse Davis (Londonderry, N.H.) and Bridget O'Bryant (Merrimack, N.H.) with twelve kills apiece. Sophomore Tiffani Brooks (Salem, Conn.) also had double-digit kills with 11, while senior libero Abby Rosen (Hebron, Conn.) had a team-high 22 digs.
Against host Brandeis, Brooks had a team-high ten kills, while O'Bryant had 13 digs in the loss.
The Owls return to action Wednesday, with a home game against Emmanuel College at 7 p.m.
