Andrea Walsh, Senior, Women's Track and Field

Andrea Walsh placed 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase race with a time of 10:55.97 at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College on Saturday.

Walsh, a senior from Bolton, Conn. got over the first hurdle in her bid to earn All-America honors in the preliminaries on Thursday, posting the fourth best time in her heat and the eighth best overall time of 10:55.42 in the event.

It was Walsh's second try at earning All-America honors.  She finished 13th at last year's meet.
