Women's Track: Chamberlain posts NCAA qualifying mark at Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. 4/16/10 - Keene State junior Allison Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine) posted n NCAA Division III Championship qualifying time (2:10.61) with her fourth place finish in the 800-meter race at the Larry Ellis Track Invitational Princeton University’s Weaver Stadium on Friday.

Earlier this season, Chamberlain recorded an NCAA qualifying time in the 1,500 at the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State.

Freshman Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) had a time of 2:18 in the race.

Sophomores Paige Mills (Keene, N.H.) (17:56) and Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.) (18:02) clocked New England All-Division and New England Division III qualifying time in the 5,000.

In the men’s competition, junior Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 56.43-meters. 

In the men’s 5K, senior junior Eric MacKnight (Newtown, Conn.) had a time of 14:50 and senior Jared Samuel (Londonderry, N.H.) record a time of 14:54.

Keene State competes at the Springfield College Invitational on Saturday.
