Chamberlain, Kolacz Earn LEC Athletes of the Week
KEENE, N.H. 2/15/10 - Keene State College track athletes Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) and Allison Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine) were named athletes of the week by the Little East Conference office. Also grabbing honors was Derek D'Amours (Agawam, Mass.) by making the honor roll.

Co-Field Athlete of the Week
Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.), Junior, Keene
State College
Kolacz set meet record at the 13th Annual New England Alliance and
Little East Conference Championships. The Brentwood, N.H. junior
won the weight throw with a meet record mark of 58'-02.50". He was
also fourth in the shot-put (46'-05.25').

Track Athlete of the Week
Allison Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine), Junior, Keene State
College
Chamberlain set a meet record at the 13th Annual New England
Alliance and Little East Conference Championships. Chamberlain had
a big day on the track for the Owls, winning the 400-meter race in
a time of 58.53, which is both meet record and an NCAA provisional
qualifying time. She also won the 3,000 meter (10:28.89), and
teamed with junior Amy Knoblock, sophomore Sarah Titus, and
freshman Maggie Fitter to win the 4x400 relay (4:11.66).

Honor Roll
Derek D'Amours (Agawam, Mass.), Sophomore, Keene State College
D'Amours gets the nod for the second straight week and
fourth time this season. The sophomore forward from Agawam,
Mass. averaged 29.5 points in the Owls 1-1 week. He had 28
points in an 86-67 loss to Eastern Conn. and followed that up with
a 31 point, seven rebound, two assist, and one steal in a
100-95 comeback win over Western Conn. For the week, D'Amours was
8-for-8 from the line. He leads the LEC with a 21.7 points
per game average.
