Jennifer Adams Races to All-America Honors at NCAA Championships
OSHKOSH, WI. 5/22/08 -Keene State's Jennifer Adams raced to All-America honors in the 10,000-meter race at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Thursday.
Running 25 laps around J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium, Adams, a senior from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., earned the honor with her second-place finish. She posted a time of 35:45.41, to finish 40 seconds behind Esther Erb, a junior from Case Western, who won the race.
"It was a slow pace and Jenn let the other runners lead for most of the race," said KSC Coach Peter Thomas. "She went to the lead in the last lap but Erb had a better kick."
"Jenn is a little dissapointed, but I'm sure she'll come back and have a strong 5K race on Saturday."
