Blamy Wins High Jump at ECAC Track Championship

          SPRINGFIELD, MASS.  5/16/08 - Putting the finishing touches on her Owl career, senior Crystal Blamy won the high jump event at the ECAC Division III Track and Field Championships at Springfield College this weekend. Blamy won the event with a school record mark of 5'-09.25".

            All earning All-ECAC honors were sophomore Kaley Griffin (Manchester, N.H.) with a seventh place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 15.57 and junior Samantha Hirsh (Holliston, Mass.) who placed fifth in the javelin throw (122'-06").

            Sophomore Frank Radlof (Milford, N.H.) had the top performance by the KSC men, a third place (22'-06.50) in the long jump.

            In team scoring the KSC women finished 20th with 16 points while the Owl men were 35th with six points. Moravian College of Bethlehem, Pa won both men's and women's championships.

 Blamy, Hirsh, and Radlof will be among the six KSC athletes that have qualified for the NCAA Championships which take place next weekend at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.  Joining them will be senior Jennifer Adams (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter races, freshman Craig MacPerson (Derry, N.H.) in the 1,500, and freshman Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) in the hammer.
