Good, Hoyt Named LEC Athletes of the Week

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. 12/12/11 – Freshman swimmer Amelia Good (Meriden, N.H.) and senior track runner Kevin Hoyt (Newtown, Conn.) Little East Conference players of the week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Rookie Swimmer of the Week
Amelia Good (Meriden, N.H.), Freshman, Keene State College
Good was the first to touch the wall in two events against Roger Williams this past weekend. The Meriden, N.H. product won the 100 (1:12.03) and the 200 breaststroke (2:37.85), while placing second in the 200 individual medley (2:22.68).

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Kevin Hoyt (Newtown, Conn.), Senior, Keene State College
Hoyt covered the won the 5,000-meter course at the Reggie Poyau Invitational in a winning time of 15 minutes, 21.87 seconds. The Newtown, Conn. native bested the next closest runner by over 10 seconds.
