Owl Swimmers Fall to Brandeis

'WALTHAM, MASS. 10/29/05 -  Keene State College men's and women's swimming and diving teams lost to Brandeis University in a dual meet held in Waltham, Mass. on Saturday. The Judges defeated the KSC men 124-93 and the Owl women 120-104).

 

 

The Keene State men's team (2-1) won five events at the meet.  The list of winners include: Kyle Uricchio (Enfield, Conn.) in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:52.48), Charlie Garrigan (Camden, Me.) in the 200 backstroke (2:09.70), and Scott Seligman (Clifton Park, N.Y.) in the 200 breastroke (2:23.30).  The team of Nate Ware (Rocky Hill, Conn.), Adam Van Brandenburg (Tenafly, M.J.), Garrigan, and Seligman won the 400 medley relay (3:47.92).  Noah Derohanian (Essex, Conn), Moe Mulholland (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Jim McClain (Brookline, Mass.) and Van Brandenburg also won the 400 freestyle relay (3:46.63).

 

 

The Keene State women's team (1-2) also prevailed in five events. The list of winners include: Katy Pryor (Jaffrey, N.H.) in the 200 freestyle (2:02.46), Liesel Dolce (Jamestown, R.I.) in the 200 backstroke (2:30.00), Jackie Gogolen (Concord, N.H.) in one-meter diving (174.70 points), and Devon Trabilsy (Hillsborough, N.J.) in the 200 breaststroke (2:42.49).  Kim Glover (Naugatuck, Conn.), Molly Clyborne (Severna Park, MD), Caitlin Coulombe (Lincoln, R.I.), and Katie Allenson (Clifton Park, N.Y.) combined to win the 400 freestyle relay (4:16.60).

 

 

Keene State competes next Saturday at Norwich University.
