Beginning her sixth season as assistant coach, Stephanie Keating brings a wealth of soccer experience to the Keene State women's soccer program. She played at several colleges, including the University of Tampa (1999-00), the University of Florida (2000-01), and Louisiana State University (2001-03). After securing a spot on the Western Massachusetts Lady Pioneers semi-pro team, Keating decided to make New England her permanent home.
A native of Vero Beach, Fla., Keating spent two years at the helm of the Vermont Academy girls' varsity soccer squad. While she was at LSU, she also coached the girls' team at University High School (2001-02) in Baton Rouge while earning All-Southeastern Conference all-star honors and first-team All-Louisiana accolades as a midfielder/forward.
Keating was inducted into the Saint Edward’s high school inaugural hall of fame where she played varsity soccer, golf, softball, and lacrosse. She was the leading soccer scorer for six straight years on the varsity soccer team, scoring 173 goals. Keating was a five-time recipient of the school most valuable player award, a three-time first-team All-State player, and was recognized by the Press Journal as well as Channel 12 in addition to being named one of the Top 100 Athletes of the Century in Vero Beach.
At Keene State, Keating is involved with all aspects of the program, including scouting and recruiting.
