Mills, MacKnight and Bradford Earn LEC Weekly Honors

N. Dartmouth, Mass. 10/11/10 – The Little East Conference honored three KSC student-athletes with athlete of the week honors. Senior Katie Bradford (Lebanon, N.H.) won Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while senior Eric MacKnight (Newtown, Conn.) and junior Paige Mills (Keene, N.H.) earned men’s and women’s cross country runner of the week respectively.

Women’s Soccer

Co-Offensive Players of the Week
Katie Bradford (Lebanon, N.H.), Senior, Forward, Keene State College
Bradford had a record-setting week for Keene State, tallying four goals and one assist for nine points. The senior striker from Lebanon, N.H. matched the program’s single-game scoring record with four markers in a Little East victory over UMass Dartmouth. Earlier in the week, she recorded a helper in the Owls loss to No. 9 Williams College. Bradford established a new career standard for points (145), while matching the previous high-water mark for career goals (60). Bradford shared the honor with Sam Laliberte of Plymouth State University.

Men's Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Eric MacKnight (Newtown, Conn.), Senior, Keene State College
MacKnight was the top finisher for the Keene State at the New England Championships held at Boston's Franklin Park on Saturday. The senior from Newtown, Conn. finished 23rd overall and fourth among Division III runners with a time of 25 minutes, 17 seconds on the five mile course. Entering the race ranked 15th nationally and third in New England, Keene State finished 13th overall and was third among Division III teams with 417 points. 

Women's Cross Country

Paige Mills (Keene, N.H.), Junior, Keene State College
Mills was the top finisher for the Keene at the New England Championships held at Boston's Franklin Park on Saturday. Mills placed 16th overall and fourth among Division III runners with a time of 18 minutes, six seconds on the women's 5-K course.
