Grant, Brunelle Earn NEWISA Honors

KEENE, N.H. 12/11/2010 - Keene State College seniors Jaclyn Grant (Newington, Conn.) and Molly Brunelle (Walpole, N.H.) were honored by the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) with first and third team all-New England honors respectively.

A Newington, Conn. native, Grant earned 1st team honors for the first time in her career after garnering 3rd team honors last season.  Grant was also named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's soccer team earlier this year becoming  the first Owl women's soccer player to receive the honor.

The Walpole, N.H. product, Brunelle finished her senior season with two goals and a team-leading eight assists. Brunelle was selected to play in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl that took place last Sunday at Rivier College. The lone player from the Little East Conference picked to play in the game, Brunelle was an offensive catalyst for the Owls as an attacking midfielder.
