    KEENE, N.H. 9/8/11 – The Keene State College women’s basketball team will hold its annual car wash on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Mobile Station on West Street in Keene. The Owls will be raising money to help offset the medical bills of former KSC men’s basketball player Ben Maynard, who recently underwent an operation to remove a brain tumor. Maynard was a four-year player for the Owls, who played on Keene State’s 2004 Elite-Eight NCAA Tournament team.

Owl players have also returned. Geoff Woodberry (Hyde Park, Mass.) is back home in the Boston area getting ready to play summer ball while Sara Laudano (North Haven, Conn.) is set to start her waitressing job next week in Keene and Meghan Farrell (Chester, Vt.) has put down her basketball and picked up a paint brush, whitewashing dorm rooms in Holloway Hall.

Anyways we left JFK Airport at 9:45 on Sunday night and had a 6 hour flight to Dublin, Ireland where we had our layover. From Dublin, we had a two hour flight to London where we have been for the past two days.

Geissler Gymnasium. The Warriors connected on each of their two field goals and six free throws in the extra session to pull away from the upset-minded Owls.
