Nicole Simmler, Senior, Women's Basketball
Playing her final home regular season game, Nicole Simmler scored her 1,000th career points in the Owls' 61-43 victory over UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday. The senior from Oxford, Mass. reached the milestone at the 7:55 mark of the second half when she took an inbounds pass and swished a three-point shot. Simmler becomes the 17th player in the program to join the 1,000-point club and the second player this season, joining teammate Kristin Degou.
Simmler averaged 21 points in a pair of LEC wins for KSC. She tied her career high with 26 points against rival Plymouth State on Tuesday.
