Haley Chandler named to All-New England Softball team
KEENE, N.H. 5/17/11 – Keene State College senior first baseman Haley Chandler (Wakefield, Mass.) was named to the 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-New England Softball team announced on Thursday.
Chandler, a third-team selection, is making her third straight appearance on the team. Finishing with a .336 average, she was at the top of several offensive categories for the Owls this season, leading the team in runs (49), home runs (7) and stolen bases (26) and tied for second in hits (46), doubles (6), and RBIs (24).
The Owls, who finished their season 28-12-1, earned their first NCAA berth since 2007 and advanced to the championship round of the regional tournament that took place last weekend in Amherst, Mass.
