Chandler named to New England All-ECAC softball team

            KEENE, N.H. 8/10/11 – Keene State College’s Laura Chandler has been named to the New England All-ECAC softball team announced on Wednesday.

            A second-team selection, Chandler, a junior outfielder, played in 32 games for the Owls after battling an injury early in the season. The Wakefield, Mass. product batted .326 for KSC with four homers and 21 RBI’s. Her .522 slugging percentage was third best on the team, and she had her best game of the year against regional rival Williams College on April 21st, when she had a career-high five RBI’s with a home-run and three hits in four at-bats.

          The Owls finished their season 29-12-1 and won their third consecutive ECAC New England Championship.
