Najem Sets School Record at New England Championships
AMHERST, MASS. 5/9/09 - Senior Peter Najem (Derry, N.H.) raced to a school record time of 1:51.81 with his fifth place finish in the 800-meter race at the New England Track and Field Championships at UMass-Amherst on Saturday.
Najem's also posted an NCAA Division III Championship provisional qualifying time with his performance.
Sophomore Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.), who set a school record and the top mark in Division III in the hammer event on Friday, placed sixth in the discus on Saturday with a mark of 149'-10".
KSC tallied 17 points at the meet, good enough for 18th place.
Sophomore Allison Chamberlain (Scarborough, Maine) had a season best time of 2:14.49 with her 15th place effort in the women's 800-meter race.
