Kolacz wins hammer event at New England Championships

Bryan Kolacz posted an NCAA qualifying mark on Saturday

             AMHERST, MASS. 5/8/09 - Keene State's Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.) won the hammer event at the New England Track and Field Championships at UMass-Amherst on Friday.

            Kolacz, a sophomore, won the event with a school record throw of 197'-5.00".

Keene State is tied for eighth after 16 events with 10 points.

            Senior Samantha Hirsh (Holliston, Mass.) scored the only points for the Owl women with her eighth place finish in the javelin.

            The meet continues on Saturday.
