Holiday wish list from Keene State Coaches and Staff

KEENE, N.H.  12/23/11 – The past two years, Keene State field hockey coach Amy Watson and men’s lacrosse coach Mark Theriault have gotten into the holiday spirit by decorating the outside area of their offices with Christmas stockings for each member of the Owl coaching staff.  “They really enjoy it and get a kick out of it,” said Watson.

Inside each stocking, Watson and Theriault put a special gift for each coach.  The pair was hit it right on the nose last year, when they gave women’s volleyball coach Bob Weiner a full-time position.  “I wanted to be full-time and obviously that worked well, so hopefully my wish is going to come true this time,” said Weiner, who received a picture of a girl on a surfboard which connotes the middle hitter from California that he’s recruiting.

Other gifts found in the stocking this year included a first-ever Little East championship for women’s basketball coach Keith Boucher and a buck for men’s basketball coach Rob Colbert, who has recently become a hunting enthusiasts.

It’s a given that you always don’t get what you want, so we went right to the source to ask members of the Keene State coaching and athletic staff what is on the holiday wish list this year:
