Owls place three on ECAC men's lacrosse All-Star team
KEENE, N.H. 5/26/10 – Keene State College placed three players on the ECAC Division III New England men’s lacrosse team announced on Wednesday.
Sophomore Griffin Meehan (Simsbury, Conn.) was named to the first-team while sophomore Sean Leblanc (Simsbury, Conn.) and freshman Taylor Jette (Simsbury, Conn.) were third-team selections.
Meehan, the Little East Conference player of the year, set Owl season records with 69 goals, 36 assists, and 105 points.
Jette and Leblanc made major contributions in their first season with the Owls. Jette finished third on the team in scoring with 37 goals, 19 assists, and 56 points while Leblanc, a defenseman noted for his strong physical play and stick work, moved right into KSC’s starting line-up.
Keene State, which captured the LEC championship and the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA tournament, finished its season with a 13-6 record.
