Three Owls Named Preseason LAX All-Americas

KEENE, N.H. 12/21/07 - Three members of the Keene State men's lacrosse team were selected to the preseason Division III All-America team by Inside Lacrosse magazine.
 

Senior goalie Matt Johnson (Derry, N.H.) was picked to the second team and senior midfielder Mike Fontaine (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and junior attack Tony Santa Fe (Derry, N.H.) were honorable mention selections.
 

Johnson, who was named an honorable mention All-America by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) and the Little East defensive player of the year last spring, finished fourth in NCAA Division III in goals against average (5.54) and led the nation in save percentage (.713).
 

A creative attack player, Santa Fe led the Owls in scoring with 47 goals, 30 assists, and 77 points and Fontaine, a key member's of KSC's top midfield line, finished with 20 goals, nine assists, and 29 points.
 

Keene State, which set a school record for wins (16-1), advanced to the second-round of the NCAA Division III tournament last year.
