March for Military 5K run/walk

KEENE, N.H. 4/13/10 – Keene State College men’s basketball player Cameron Fisk is organizing A March for the Military 5K run/walk.  The event will take place Saturday, May 1 (10 a.m.) at Keene State College. Registration in front of the KSC Recreation Center begins at 9 a.m.

Cameron’s brother, Chad, is a Captain in the United States Army and has been stationed in Iraq for the past year, and is presently in his third tour of duty.  Cameron is raising money in honor of his brother and his brigade.

All proceeds from the non-profit event will be donated to Dog Tags for Kids (www.dogtagsforkids.com), a grassroots effort to show support for the troops and their families. The tags are sent back to their families and provide something kids can hang on to until family members return home.

“These service-men and-women have been over there for years at a time and are grateful for any support they receive and anything that will boost their morale,” said Fisk.  “This event will help show them support and give them and their children an unforgettable morale boost.”

There is a $10 registration ($5 for students) fee. Registration forms are available on Facebook (Look for it under photos) and at the KSC Recreation Center front desk.  You may also contact Cameron Fisk directly to receive one by email.  cfisk@ksc.mailcruiser.com
