NH Division III Basketball Coaches Association Teams Announced

KEENE, N.H. 3/24/10 - Keene State's Kristin Degou (Newburyport, Mass.) was named women's player of the year and Keith Boucher was selected women's coach of the year by the N.H. Division III Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Keene State players Derek D'Amours (Agawam, Mass.), Cody Snow (Leyden, Mass.) and Nicole Simmler (Oxford, Mass.) were also named to the team. 

A senior guard Degou, a first-team pick, filled up the score sheet, averaging a team high 14.3 points to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.   Boucher led KSC to a 20-9 record and the program's first ECAC Division III New England championship this past season.

Senior forward Nicole Simmler finished second on the team in scoring (11.1 ppg.) and third in rebounds (5.9 rpg.).

An offensive machine for Keene State this season, D'Amours, a first-team selection, topped the Little East Conference in scoring (23.8 ppg.) and three-point field goals made per game (2.9).  Named to the second-team, Snow, a sophomore swingman, led the team in rebounding (5.2 rpg.) and was third in scoring (12.2 ppg.).
