Sophomore forward and top returning scorer (10.6 ppg.) who will look to generate offense for the Owls...a prolific shooter who has added other dimensions to his improving game...a big left-handed player who causes match-up problems for opposing teams....Career Highlights:  Started in 22 games as a freshman, earning a spot on the LEC All-Rookie team...netted a season-high 21 points against UMass-Dartmouth (1/10/09)....knocked down five three-pointers in a 19-point performance against UMass-Boston (1/17/09) ...finished second on the team with 48 three-point field goals made...Before KSC:  One of the first left-handed players to join the KSC program in several years... a big perimeter guard who can extend opposing defenses with his ability to knock down the three-point shot... a scoring machine at Agawam (Mass.) High where he eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau and earned first-team All-Western Mass. honors in his senior year... Derek is majoring in math at KSC.
