Anderson closing in on 1,000-point career milestone

KEENE, N.H. 2/6/09 - Keene State men's basketball player Nate Anderson is closing in on the 1,000-point career milestone.

The Owls' senior forward from Westminster, Mass., enters Saturday's Little East Conference game at UMass-Dartmouth with 984 points, 16 points shy of the coveted plateau.

Anderson will become the 28th Owl men's basketball player to join the Keene State 1,000-point career club.

Earlier this season, teammate Tyler Kathan, became the fifth KSC player to surpass the 1,500-point career mark.  The senior forward from Ludlow, Vt., currently has 1,655 points, third on the Owls' all-time scoring list.
