Keene State field hockey team earns NFHCA academic honors

KEENE, N.H. 3/11/11 – Fifteen Keene State College student athletes were recently named to the National Academic squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The Owls were also honored for their team academic success, posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 to receive the NFHCA National Academic Team Award.

Seniors Chelsea Blackmer (Boylston, Mass.) and Leigh Smith (Sanbornton, N.H.), juniors Kerry Howe (Atlantic Highlands, N.J.), Aislynn Sherry (Rehoboth, Mass.), and Niki Smith (Southwick, Mass.), sophomores Kristy Mastropietro (Norwalk, Conn.), Alexandra Billert (Center Conway, N.H.), Kalin Billert (Center Conway, N.H.), and freshmen Mary Dematteo (Northford, Conn.), Leddy Gallagher (Acton, Mass.), Hannah Gage (Lebanon, N.H.), Kelsey Ouellette (Winthrop, Me.), Aimee Donaruma (Hampden, Mass.),  Justine Hunnewell (Lebanon, N.H.), and Stephanie Morse (Harrisville, N.H.) were recognized by the NFHCA for having a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year.
