OWLS FALL TO BEARS 2-1

Howe scored the Owls lone goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Bridgewater State.

 BRIDGEWATER, MASS.  9/25/10 – The Keene State field hockey team lost to Bridgewater State University 2-1 on Saturday.

It was the first Little East Conference setback for the Owls (7-2, 2-1 LEC) Bridgewater improves to 3-4 and 2-1 in conference play.

The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on goals by Katelyn Taylor and Nicole Henrique.

The Owls answered with a second half goal by Kerry Howe (Atlantic Highlands, N.J.).

Keene State had a wide advantage in shots (23-7) and penalty corners (15-3), but couldn't get the ball past Katie Weber who finished with 11 saves.

KSC senior goalie Meghan Ledoux (Standish, Me) stopped three shots.

Keene State hosts Westfield State on Wednesday.
