• Old and New Owls Look For Winning Combination

    KEENE, N.H. 8/23/11 – Before coming to Keene State College, Marisa Benson was a Crusader field hockey player from Groton-Dunstable (Mass.) High School, Kelly Burrell was a Ranger soccer player from Greeley (Me.) High, Sammy Dormio was a Raider volleyball player from Loudoun High in Leesburg, VA, and Pat Anthony was a Red Raider men’s soccer player from Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton, Mass. This week, they, along with 62 other aspiring freshmen and newcomers, began their respective fall camps in hopes of becoming Keene State Owls.

    KEENE, N.H. 3/11/11 – Fifteen Keene State College student athletes were recently named to the National Academic squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The Owls were also honored for their team academic success, posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 to receive the NFHCA National Academic Team Award.

    N. Dartmouth, Mass. 1/11/11 – Twenty-nine Keene State College fall student-athletes were named to the Little East Conference Fall All-Academic team. To be eligible, the student athlete must at least be a sophomore and have a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.

The honored athletes, from three different decades, are Robin Briggs Rolli ’84, women’s skiing, cross country, and track athlete; Diana Robbins ’84, women’s diving athlete; Kim Heyl ’85AS, field hockey player; Heather Boisvere Langone ’97, women's soccer player; and Chris Coates ’04, men's basketball player.
