Owls ranked in NFHCA national poll
KEENE, N.H. 9/15/09 - A record 5-0 start has landed the Keene State field hockey team a #19 ranking in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Coaches Poll announced on Tuesday.
"It's been a while since we've been in the poll. Now we have to play like we deserve the recognition," said KSC Coach Amy Watson.
The Owls will face their biggest test of the season tonight when they host Williams College (6 p.m.). KSC will be shooting for a school record sixth straight shutout victory.
Keene State will face several nationally ranked teams later this season including #11 Middlebury College and #15 Trinity College.
The Owls are making their first appearance in the national poll since the 2002 season.
