Chevalier and Perkins play in N.H. senior All-Star game

NASHUA, N.H. 5/26/09 - Keene State seniors Jamie Chevalier (Amherst, N.H.) and Jeff Perkins (Dunbarton, N.H.) were members of a New Hampshire College all-star team that faced the American Defenders of New Hampshire in an  exhibition baseball game at Historic Holman Stadium in Nashua on Sunday.

Chevalier, a second baseman, and Perkins, a centerfielder, both completed their four-year Owl careers this spring.

"It was a nice opportunity for a couple of our seniors to showcase their talent and extend their playing careers for at least one day," said KSC Coach Ken Howe.

Last year, the Nashua Pride, the former name of the American Defenders, signed Owl outfielder Greg Ford after he played in the all-star game.

A member of the Can-Am League, the American Defenders open their season on Thursday against the New Jersey Jackals at 6:30 p.m.
