Hard-throwing freshman who will be given an opportunity to crack the starting staff... High school:  a three-time team MVP at Monadnock (N.H.) Regional, who earned All-State honors the past two seasons... a member of school state champion baseball team as a freshman and basketball squad as a senior... Jeff plans to major in physical education.
