Owls Rousseau and Morin Play in Fenway All-Star Game

Owls Jaime Morin and Joe Rousseau playing in Saturday's NEIBA All-Star at Fenway
BOSTON, MASS. 6/17/08 - Keene State's Joe Rousseau (Nashua, N.H.) and Jaime Morin (Goffstown, N.H.) can now say they've played at Fenway Park.
The pair were members of the College Division team that defeated a University Division squad 6-3 in the 2008 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association College All-Star Game at the historic ball park on Saturday.
Rousseau, who played five innings at third base, said it was an awesome feeling to play on a major league field. "I can't describe the feeling," he said. "It's an experience I'll never forget."
Keene State Coach Ken Howe, who attended the game along with several current members of the Owl team, said he offered a little advice to both players.
"I told Jamie to go out and have some fun like he's done throughout the season and told Joey to get up there and swing the bat. You're not going to get another opportunity to hit one off the Green Monster."
Both players headed the advice of their coach. Although, he was hitless in his two trips to the plate, Rousseau lined out to centerfield and struck out swinging.
"I was a little nervous getting into the box, but once I saw the first pitch I was fine," Rousseau said. "I tried to treat it like any other game."
Except for a hit batsman, Morin threw a perfect fifth inning, inducing a couple of ground outs and a fly ball.
"Jamie had a wide smile on his face when he left the mound," said Howe. "It was a great day all the way around. The weather was great and College team won."
Morin and Rousseau are the third and fourth Keene State players selected to play in the all-star game. Jeremy Schilling played in the 2006 game and Keith Jacobson was on the 2001 roster.
