Cirillo, Umbarger Named KSC's Athletes of the Week!
Courtney Cirillo - Women's Basketball
Courtney Cirillo had a monster week on the court for the Keene State women's basketball team, averaging 23.6 points and 9.6 rebounds. On Tuesday, she had 23 points and 13 rebounds against No. 18 ranked Western Conn. State. The junior forward from Windsor Locks, Conn., netted a career high 33 points to go with nine rebounds to lead KSC to its first Little East Conferencce win of the season, a 83-68 win over Umass-Dartmouth.
Kaila Umbarger - Women's swimming
Kaila Umbarger had a terrific week in the pool for the Keene State women's swim team, winning three races in Little East victories over Plymouth State and Eastrern Conn. State University. Competing against Plymouth State on Tuesday, the sophomore from Chelmsford, Mass. won the 100 fly (1:00.86), 100 free (55.06) and the 50m fly (27.06). She was also on the winning 200 free relay (1:44.24). Swimming aganst Eastern Conn. on Saturday, Umbarger won the 100 fly (59.61), 50 free (24.62) and 100 free (54.73).
