Patnode and Kolacz recieve Little East honors

KEENE, N.H. 4/20/09 - Keene State's Jenna Patnode and Bryan Kolacz were recipients of Little East Conference honors on Monday.

Softball Player of the Week
Jenna Patnode (Surry, N.H.), Senior, Third Base, Keene State College
Patnode batted .466 (14-for-30) to help lead Keene State College to wins in seven of its 10 games this past week. The Surry, N.H. native registered seven extra-base hits-three doubles, two triples, and two home runs-and drove in 11 runs, while wrecking havoc on the base paths with 17 runs scored and nine stolen bases. She hit safely in seven of her 10 contests, including a three-for-five performance from the plate with three runs batted in at Williams on April 15. Patnode also drove in a week-high four runs against Plymouth State.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Bryan Kolacz (Brentwood, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College
Competing at the Springfield College Invitational on Saturday, Kolacz won both the hammer (56.78-meters) and discus (45.72-meters) events. Keene State finished seventh in the 11-team standings with 55 points. It's the second time this season Kolacz has received the honor.
