Three Owls Earn LEC Honors

KEENE, N.H. 12/15/08 - Three Keene State athletes were recognized by the Little East Conference on Monday.

Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Jeff Tretheway (Merrimack, N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College

Tretheway placed third overall in the mile at the highly competitive Harvard Open this past weekend. The Merrimack, N.H. product was the first Little East Conference runner to cross the finish line, covering the track in four minutes, 20.33 seconds in the 52-person field. Tretheway qualified for both the Division III New England Championships and the ECAC Championships.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Quinton McMillian (Springfield, Mass.), Freshman, Guard, Keene State College

In his lone action of the week, McMillian scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half as Keene State rallied to defeat Little East rival Rhode island College in overtime. The Springfield, Mass. native went 6-for-11 from the field, including a three-pointer, to make the most out of his first collegiate start. McMillian also pulled in six boards.

Women's Basketball Honor Roll
Michele Boudreau (Readsboro, Vt.), Senior, Guard, Keene State College

Boudreau drained five first-half three-pointers to help lead Keene State past Rhode Island College, 70-53, in Little East Conference women's basketball action at The Murray Center on Saturday. Boudreau finished with a team-high 17 points, to go along with two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
